Imagine this scenario: A KOL is doing a livestream in China introducing products, and at the same time, AI real-time translates her livestream and switches her livestream language from putonghua to numerous different languages, simultaneously showing her livestream to consumers from various different countries and territories.

“Zyetric’s latest invention, a real time facial translation SaaS known as Zhowcase, has the potential to turn the above scenario into reality. Now, Zhowcase only has a 40-minute delay.” On 21th November, Zyetric’s director and CEO Patrick Lam presented his real-time facial translation SaaS platform at the 2024 Guangdong Hong Kong Macau Cultural Industry Investment Conference Guangdong Technology Financial Group Session, where he introduced the world’s first generative AI real-time facial translation SaaS invented by the company.

Zyetric is a company based in Hong Kong Science Park with offices in Foshan and New Zealand. Zyetric focuses on the research and development of generative AI technologies and computer vision, and owns 18 patents. Up till now, Zyetric is supported by Hong Kong Science Park, Hong Kong AI Lab, and the Auckland University of Technology, and has won the First prize in the 10th China Innovation and Entrepreneurship Competition enterprise category, the bronze award in the 3rd Global Digital Trade Award, and the HICOOL 2004 merit award.

“Zhowcase can accurately translate the content spoken by the speaker in the video to 32 languages, and match the speaker’s voice, tone, and facial expressions in the original video.” The tool is expected to be widely used in two different scenarios, Patrick explains.

The first is cross-border live commerce. With Zhowcase, KOLs and MCNs can facial translate their livestream into any audiences’ language, and audiences can watch the livestream in their preferred language. The second is movie/TV drama/short drama automated facial translation. According to reports, the cost for doing traditional movie voiceovers in China and in overseas costs 50000 to 200000 RMB per episode, but automatically translating a 120-minute video with Zhowcase only costs 8000 to 10000 RMB with a GPU cost of 2000 RMB. Most movies will translate to 10-20 languages, and Zhowcase can translate older videos from the 20th century, as well as the 4000 new movies and the few million new dramas and short dramas released each year.

Zyetric is currently undergoing Pre-A stage funding with a post-money valuation of 75M RMB. Zyetric intends to raise 15M RMB by offering 20% common stock, and investors have anti-dilution and right of first refusal. “Zyetric’s real-time facial translation technology leads the market in R&D by two years, and its high quality facial translation technology leads the market by one year. The company has an experienced and stable R&D team, says Patrick.
